On October 6, The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Country Baby Daycare, which is a private business located at a residence in Shingle Springs. The owner and sole adult on scene was identified as Brigitte McAdams (63 yrs. old). McAdams displayed the objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a central nervous stimulant. McAdams was unable to account for the number of children that were in her care originally stating that there were seven children inside the residence. Deputies determined that there were only five children inside the residence. Alcohol and other items were located inside the residence that were accessible to the children and considered dangerous. McAdams was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on suspicion of child endangerment and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Parents were contacted and responded to the day care to pick-up their children.
