On October 18, 2016, at approximately 4:15 PM, the missing aircraft wreckage was located in a rugged area of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, southwest of Lake Schmidell. Personnel also located a deceased male subject outside of the wreckage .  The identity of the decedent is not readily available and will be determined at a later date by the Coroner.
