South Lake Tahoe Information Correction
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Office of Emergency Services is issuing the following important information.
On Friday February 10th, 2017, some incorrect information was issued to the public in an email that indicated there was an evacuation center at South Lake Tahoe High School. This information is not correct.
There is not an evacuation center or a shelter at the South Lake Tahoe High School. During the recent flooding event, no evacuation orders were issued and the residents affected by the flooding were assisted directly, or took care of their own needs.
If and when an evacuation center is established, the community will be notified by every means available; through our reverse 911 system, press releases, social media, and face to face contact.
