Stabbing in Camino

PRESS RELEASE

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

5400 Block of Shangrala Lane, Camino

On February 10th, at approximately 11:15 pm, Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a person having been assaulted with a knife in the 5400 block of Shangrala Lane in Camino.  Upon arrival Deputies made contact with a 24 year Camino man who was suffering from stab and laceration wounds.  The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, and at this time the victim is in stable condition.

According to the victim and witnesses, a vehicle arrived at the residence and two men approached the door of the residence asking for an individual who was not a resident at this home.  When the victim told the suspects that the person they were looking for did not live at this house, a verbal argument ensued.  After the suspects refused to leave the property, the argument turned physical between the two parties.  During the fight one of the suspects pulled out a knife and proceeded to stab and cut the victim.

The victim was able to return to his residence and call 911 for assistance.  The suspects returned to their vehicle (Silver/Gray Ford Taurus, unknown year) and fled prior to the arrival of Deputies.  The suspects are described as white male adults, approximately 30-40 years of age, thin build.

Due to the seriousness of this crime and the active nature of the investigation, the name of the victim is being withheld at this time.
