Home Invasion Robbery – Mt. Aukum

On 11/28/15 at about 1:15 AM, sheriff’s deputies responded to a home invasion robbery in the 3000 block of Winter Creek Road in Mount Aukum. The male caller stated his wife was the victim and she was home alone.

At the residence, deputies met with the home owners. The female victim told deputies she was home in bed when a man walked into her bedroom, pointed a handgun at her,  demanding pot and money. When the gunman found the marijuana, he had the female go into the living room where she was bound by the gunman and a male accomplice. While tied up, the victim noticed a third male in her house.

Once the suspects left, the victim got loose and called her husband.

The suspects were described as:

The gunman: Hispanic male adult, clean shaven in his late 20’s, wearing a grey beanie, a plain grey sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The accomplice: A male with a small build wearing a red ski mask, black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes with a silver stripe on the side.

The third male: A male with a small build wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

Coloma Post Office Burglary

On the morning of 11/19/15 the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Coloma Post Office for a reported burglary. At the post office, deputies noticed someone had broken into the building stealing mail and packages. The burglary appeared to have occurred sometime during the night. Some evidence was located. The case is being handled by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents that with the holiday season to pay extra attention to mail and packages to prevent theft. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at (530) 642-4703.

Home Invasion Suspects Arrested

On 11/19/15 at approximately 11:27 AM, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a home invasion robbery in the 4000 block of Edgewater Drive in Greenwood.

The two robbery suspects were identified as 21 year-old Jeremy Ross and 21 year-old Deshawn Stone. Ross and Stone fled the area in a white or silver smaller SUV.

On 11/20/15 at about 6:30 PM , Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office arrested both Ross and Stone on warrants issued by El Dorado County. When contacted, both Ross and Stone were armed with loaded firearms. They were taken into custody without incident and some of the stolen property from the Greenwood robbery was recovered. Ross and Stone were booked into the Sacramento County Jail on weapons and drug charges. They were also booked on warrants from El Dorado County. They are both in custody at the Sacramento County Jail in lieu of $350,000 bail. Both Ross and Stone will be arraigned in Sacramento County before being transferred to El Dorado County for additional court proceedings.
