#KingFire White Meadows Repopulation Announcement

The White Meadows area, previously listed as a mandatory evacuation area, is being repopulated as of today, 09/23/14 at 1pm. The road closure at Ice House Road and Highway 50 is still in effect. However, affected residents will be allowed through so that they may access the White Meadows area. Personnel from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, El Dorado Community Development, PG&E and the Red Cross are on scene this afternoon to answer questions from and provide information to returning residents. Law enforcement patrol personnel will continue to maintain a strong security presence in the area.

The White Meadows area being repopulated consists of the following:

Brockliss Canyon Road

Elk Ranch Road

Peavine Ridge Road (The 1st mile north of White Meadows Road ONLY)

Spring Valley Road

White Meadows Road

PRESS CONFERENCE

Camino –The King Incident and cooperating agencies will hold a news conference at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 3520 Carson Rd. in Camino at 12:00 p.m. This will announce the re-population of residents in the White Meadows area.

Cooperating Agencies: CHP, Red Cross, Cal OES, El Dorado Irrigation District, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Sierra Pacific Industries, PG&E, Placer County Water Agency, Placer County Sheriffs, California Conservation Corps, El Dorado County Animal Services, El Dorado County CAO’s Office, El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, El Dorado County Community Development Agency, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Cal-Fire, US Forest Service, Incident Management Team 5 and many others.
