Reward Offered in Attempted Shooting of Deputy

El Dorado County Sheriff John D’Agostini just announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that results in the identification and apprehension of the suspect involved in the attempted shooting of an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy on October 17, 2014.

On October 17, 2014 at approximately 0800 hours, a Deputy working patrol found a truck in a turnout in the area of Cable Road and White Mountain Ranch Road. The Deputy set out on foot to investigate whether any criminal activity was occurring. While walking down a trail from the turnout the Deputy came in contact with a male subject. During this contact the male suspect refused to comply with verbal commands given by the Deputy. A physical struggle ensued between the suspect and Deputy. The suspect was able to retreat to his vehicle where he retrieved a handgun and fired it at the Deputy. The Deputy uninjured, returned fire however it is unknown if the suspect sustained any injuries

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’-1” to 6’-2” tall, weighing approximately 200-250 pounds, with a goatee, wearing a flannel shirt, dark pants and boots. The suspect was last seen driving away on Cable Road in a mid-1990’s to early 2000’s, white Dodge single cab truck without a license plate.

Cameron Park Armed Robbery

Today at 1550 hrs the Sheriff’s Office received notice of a hold-up alarm at Check Into Cash, a short-term loan or emergency financial services business at 3440 Palmer Drive in Cameron Park. The teller reported a man with a gun robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot, north towards Palmer Drive. The suspect was described as a 20 year-old white male, heavy set, with short red hair and freckles and wearing a black jacket and a black baseball cap.
No one was injured in the robbery. Patrol deputies are searching the area. Detectives and CSI are investigating.

El Dorado Hills Homicide Victim

On 01/07/2015 a homicide occurred in front of the 36 Handles Irish Pub and Restaurant located at 1010 White Rock Road in El Dorado Hills. Khrista Ibarolle, a 31 year old female resident of El Dorado Hills, has been identified as the victim. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate all circumstances surrounding this tragic crime. Our hearts go out to Khrista’s family and loves ones as they lost a daughter, sister and friend to a senseless act of violence. The Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the assistance and support provided by the California Highway Patrol and residents of our community as they were instrumental in the suspect’s detention and arrest.
